How the six fit together
You play Tolie
Tolie is the main character: a quiet girl who gets lost easily. Eliot says she does not talk and knows how to listen. The night starts because she is not allowed to leave the house, then she wakes alone. Park speakers place her father at the information booth. Eliot sends that search first to Farmer Terry. A staff announcement about a little girl in a white dress and a pink hat does not use Tolie's name, so the dress is not already hers. Her portrait is the solo picture.
Eliot leads
Eliot calls himself your Giggleland guide. He is a warm and friendly cat who welcomes everyone. He gives three rules before you go further: stay on the path, stay where he can see you, and leave a Staff Only door alone. He pairs the first stop with Farmer Terry. Ella is his best friend. Their portrait is one picture of both of them. The greeting is in his voice.
Ella beside him
Ella's description is short and specific. She is Eliot's best friend, and she keeps things lively. She has no lines of her own in the greeting, and she does not speak the three rules. Her place is the park, same as Eliot and Tolie. Her page is the friendship. Eliot's page is the rules and the first stop. They share one portrait, shown on Eliot's row.
Rory in the patch
Rory is a plush of Rory the Rabbit from the cartoon Terry's Vegetable Patch. He jokes, stays with his friends, and talks to people who are lost. His place is Terry's Vegetable Patch, while Farmer Terry's place is the farm. That split is deliberate: the cartoon names the patch, and the visit names the farm as the start of the chapter span. Rory's portrait is his own picture. He is not the guide, and he does not give Eliot's three rules.
Farmer Terry first
Eliot names Farmer Terry as the first stop and says Terry loves helping children find their way home. Terry has no lines of his own. In the cast his place is Farmer Terry's farm, which is also the start of the eight-chapter span, ending at the tunnels under the park. The cartoon Terry's Vegetable Patch supplies Rory's rabbit name. It does not replace the farm as Terry's place. Terry has no portrait.
The father at the booth
Tolie's father has no portrait and no line in his own voice. The park speakers say he is waiting at the information booth. Eliot's longer greeting says her dad is waiting somewhere in the park, and only then names Farmer Terry as the person who helps children home. Those are two places: the booth from the speakers, and Terry as the first stop. He is not Farmer Terry. Tolie is the one looking for him, and she is the quiet girl you play, the one who listens and does not talk.
